Trails range from mellow greens and blues to advanced reds and iconic blacks like the famously steep Pleney lines. As part of a vast interconnected area with Les Gets and Avoriaz, you can stack huge vertical and explore for days. After-hours Pleney sessions, skills zones at the base, and direct lift access from the village add up to a convenient and high-energy experience.

Mainline

Mainline is Morzine’s legendary black run, conceived in 1997 and refined every season to preserve its trademark natural flow and technical character. Expect a fast, committed descent that mixes speed with finesse, rewarding riders who can stay light on the bike and read the terrain as it comes.

The track blends big, supportive berms and playful jumps with steeper, root‑laced sections that demand precision and confident braking control. Suited to advanced riders on capable enduro or downhill bikes, Mainline lets you open the taps while still offering creative lines and plenty of natural features to work with.

Rider tips

Warm up on the blue trails to get a feel for gradient, braking bumps and roots before stepping up to reds and blacks.
Run downhill or enduro tyres ideally and fresh brake pads—long, fast laps and rough braking zones are the norm.
Check daily lift status and late-opening evenings; plans can change with weather and maintenance.
Respect closures and trail crew work. If a line is taped or signed, do not enter.
In wet weather, roots on Pleney get extremely slick—dial back speed and increase braking distance.
Yield appropriately at trail merges and around learner areas near the base; slow right down around families on green trails.
A Portes du Soleil pass lets you link Les Gets and Avoriaz easily—carry a map or download the official app to avoid long transfers.
Pack spares (tubes, quick links, pads) and a light jacket—storms can move in fast in the Alps.
